Lucy Yuan was born in China and grew up in Sweden and northern Alberta before settling down in beautiful Vancouver, Canada. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2012 with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Scandinavian culture. While attending law school at UBC, she represented the school at national hockey arbitration competitions and captained several of the faculty’s intramural sports teams. She graduated with a J.D. in 2016 and articled with a firm that specializes in administrative and disability law. Lucy was called to the bar in 2017.

Prior to joining Meridian Law Group, Lucy practiced personal injury law at a Vancouver boutique litigation firm. She is an experienced trial lawyer and oral advocate who has represented clients at the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, Social Security Tribunal, British Columbia Provincial Court, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Lucy was pleased to join Meridian Law Group in 2019 as an associate lawyer, specializing in the areas of insurance litigation, commercial litigation, general civil litigation, and committeeship applications.

Outside of the office, Lucy enjoys playing recreation league sports like Ultimate and soccer and is a passionate cinephile.
