Kamal (Kam) S. Vaid* is a dedicated litigator who was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2018.

Kam’s practice focuses on insurance litigation, general civil litigation, commercial litigation, and personal injury. Before joining Meridian Law Group in 2019, he worked as a criminal defence lawyer in Surrey, BC. 

Kam brings a diverse professional background to the firm, having transitioned from a career in business development and marketing to the practice of law. His previous professional experience provides him with valuable insight into business operations, commercial relationships, and the challenges faced by individuals and organizations. His decision to pursue a legal career was driven by a passion for advocacy and a desire to help individuals protect their interests, navigate complex legal disputes, and achieve meaningful resolutions through effective representation.

Kam has developed significant experience advocating for clients before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, including representing clients at trial. From handling complex commercial disputes to litigating insurance claims, he approaches each matter with a commitment to strategic advocacy, meticulous preparation, and practical problem-solving. Recognizing that litigation can be both demanding and stressful, Kam places considerable emphasis on maintaining open communication, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring that his clients remain informed throughout the legal process.

Originally from Victoria, Kam remains deeply connected to his community. Outside of his legal practice, he serves as a founding member of the Parm Dhami Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to giving back to local communities. In his personal time, Kam enjoys playing basketball, attending live performances, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
