Ivraj (Raj) Gill was born in Richmond, British Columbia, and was raised in Calgary, Alberta.  He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Mount Royal University in 2010 and then became a peace officer with the City of Calgary.  Raj’s undergraduate degree and experience as a peace officer kindled an interest in pursuing a legal career, and, in 2016, Raj obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Bond University in Australia.

Raj articled with two law firms in the Lower Mainland, one specializing in personal injury law and the other, in criminal law.  He was called to the bar in 2018 and joined Meridian Law Group in March, 2019.

Raj is fluent in both English and Punjabi and is able to bridge the East Indian and Canadian cultures and serve clients in both languages.

Outside the office, Raj enjoys spending time with both family and friends, exploring new craft breweries, and playing sports.  He is a devoted fan of his hometown hockey team, the Calgary Flames.
