Knowing divorce and separation is probably the most difficult time in a person’s life, Chantelle Lefebvre understands what’s at stake and is a dependable source of common sense, sound advice and compassion.

Growing up in St. Paul in Alberta and earning her law degree at the University of Saskatchewan, she learned early on to avoid stiff legalese and archaic language with clients. Considerate and personable, Chantelle handles divorce and separation, custody, access and family litigation issues, and offers expertise in public guardianship and trusteeship as well as civil litigation.

She advises clients that court is the best option only when there are no other choices. When an out of court settlement is not possible, she is skillful, diligent and extremely well-prepared to represent her client in the court room. Regardless of the process, Chantelle’s goal is to get clients through to the other side as unscathed as possible, efficiently and cost-effectively. She will never waste her client’s time and money fighting losing battles or using pointless court time and resources.

Chantelle is a trained in collaborative divorce and offers this process as a choice for her clients, in order to create as respectful an atmosphere as possible and create more options for reaching win-win solutions for both spouses.

She has an extraordinary sensitivity to children’s issues. Her own parents foster children, and Chantelle is training to become a legal counsel for children in Family Welfare. She lists her family as her greatest accomplishment. A wife and mother, Chantelle is a French speaker and enjoys an active country life and particularly triathlon and yoga.
